From recruitment to the exit interview or retirement, I accompany all phases of our employees' lives. This makes my day-to-day work very varied and versatile. In addition, I am involved in the harmonization of HR processes at the German locations. So there is a lot of coordination with the colleagues of the different sites.

What does a typical working week look like for you? What internal interfaces do you deal with?
My interfaces are the HR colleagues in Germany and Switzerland in various projects. In addition, I have several appointments with the managers of the Berlin office to coordinate current personnel matters (recruitments, development plans, health meetings, etc.). In addition, I am in regular contact with our plant manager in Berlin, as well as our head of HR in Germany.
My classic working week is a mixture of daily tasks (e.g. screening applications, processing employee requests, etc.) and longer-term project activities (e.g. the creation of a uniform onboarding process throughout Germany).

What was the best learning experience you had during your time at Baumer?
The opportunity to join Baumer directly after my studies and to drive forward smaller pilot projects at the Berlin location has made me self-confident and courageous to now lead these and other projects throughout Germany.

If you had to describe Baumer's corporate culture to an acquaintance in a few sentences – what would you say?
Baumer is still a family-owned company that puts its employees first. We also have to contend with the now much more complex working conditions and structures. In the end, however, we always find an individual solution that is acceptable to all parties involved. As an employee at Baumer, you are not a «number», but an important pillar for our success.
