My main tasks are the development and implementation of a product information strategy, as well as the overall technical responsibility for various business applications (e.g. the Digital Asset Management System (DAM) as a group-wide reliable source of information for e.g. graphics and video data). My team and I design and monitor the processes and continuously optimize these applications. I am a kind of «moderator» of a wide variety of specialists and an interface between top management, the various departments (marketing, business units, etc.) and technology. The management of external service providers is also part of this.

What are the 'must haves' to be successful in your role?
My key to success is a high degree of passion and enthusiasm for my topics. Coupled with our vision, this has an inspiring and motivating effect. In today's rapidly changing world, however, a high degree of adaptability and courage are also required to take calculated risks and thus make difficult decisions. In addition, skills such as empathy, good and effective communication, active listening and, above all, authenticity are beneficial to becoming a successful leader.

How did you come to choose Baumer?
The most important factor for me was to gain a positive interpersonal feeling in the discussions with HR, my future manager and the team, which developed throughout the application process. In addition, it was important to me that my area of responsibility had so-called «management attention» and that I could discuss my vision with our CEO Oliver Vietze.
