Automated LED control with machine learning
The first project was dedicated to automating the inspection of the lighting status of LEDs on Baumer distance sensors. Using camera technology and machine learning, the student has developed a solution that replaces manual, time-consuming checks. This innovative method is intended to increase efficiency and quality and supports future developments, such as the detection of other sensor types and more complex geometries.
Automation of a production station with CoBot (UR5)
The second project focused on the automation of a production station in order to optimize its capacity utilization. A CoBot UR5 was used to automate the testing of sensors so that the station can be used even more efficiently overnight. In addition, the bachelor student developed a flexible robot table that allows the CoBot to be easily integrated into the production processes.
