Reliable conductivity measurement with fast temperature compensation is the basis for successful cleaning cycles, optimizing the use of cleaning agents and fast, accurate phase separation.
Since temperature is one of the four main parameters, the correct temperature prevailing right at the start of the cleaning cycle saves valuable time. Temperature sensor CombiTemp® TFRH enables hygienic temperature measurement right inside the tank.
Universal level switch CleverLevel® is the perfect protection for process and environment. Safe limit detection, optionally ignoring or detecting any foam formation, prevents tanks from damage and any escape of cleaning agents into the drains.
Predictable medium availability: Flush mounted hydrostatic level measurement with CombiTemp PFMH with display, or PBMH without display ensures the availability of cleaning agent for the next batch. The high accuracy of 0,1% is unaffected by temperature changes, foam or uneven surfaces.
Installing the switch CleverLevel® directly in-line with the CIP supply pump delivers reliable signals to avoid pump damage by dry run. Unaffected by build up, media characteristics and adherence, any lack of liquid that would disturb the cleaning will safely be detected.
The calorimetric flow sensor FlexFlow® provides both information, temperature and flow rate, that are required for determining the required energy for heating the CIP system with hot water.
Two sensitive pressure sensors PP20H installed in feed and return line detect changes in the CIP loop. Leakages causing pressure drops are recognized as well as increasing pressure pointing to blockages.
Flow sensor FlexFlow® ensures that already the supply pump delivers the desired velocity. Besides that, the flow and temperature data can be used to preset the heat exchanger operation. Both help to safe time until the desired quality parameter are reached and cleaning time counts.
The flow velocity in the return line indicates whether the entire cycle was cleaned at the desired speed. Electromagnetic flow meter PF75H with 0.2% accuracy delivers best-in-class performance and reporting stability of cleaning conditions. Further it remains unaffected by any temperature changes.
To get insights whether there is sufficient water supply for the first rinse or enough space for additional final rinse water, the ultrasonic sensor UNAM measures the precise fill level up to a tank height of 6 m.

With the help of the flow sensor FlexFlow, Arla Foods was able for the first time to gain transparency regarding the energy consumption of its cottage cheese production. In addition to the flow quantity, the sensor also measures the temperature of the medium.
