Ultrasonic sensors with IO-Link

The next generation of ultrasonic sensors excels with reliability in any situation due to the integrated setting and filter options via IO-Link interface. The unique combination of the narrowest blind range on the market combined with the large sensing range provides new freedom in machine construction by simplified design-in.

The integrated settings and filters allow the ultrasonic sensors to be optimally adjusted to the application. This not only reduces the variant diversity but also ensures an even more reliable solution. The video shows the following examples:

Reliable detection and counting of transparent bottles in a packaging system. The signal is transmitted over several meters to the PLC.

Presence detection and degree of filling, e.g. of a bottle table. The adjustable filter function allows to find the optimal compromise between speed and stability of the measuring signal.

On-site adjustment of the sonic cone width depending on container opening and filling medium. Optimal result with a narrow sonic beam through narrow openings or reliable detection of the part presence with a wide sonic cone, e.g. in the part bunker.

Monitoring of the diameter of rolls independent of color, reflection and transparency. With the teach-by-value function of IO-Link, the switching points of the same sensors can be easily parameterized in different machines without having to put the machines into operation.

With the synchronization function it is possible to operate several sensors in close proximity to each other without the risk of disturbances. This means that the sonic beam of the sensors standing directly next to each other do not influence each other. The synchronization function can be triggered either by an external signal or by a command via IO-Link.
