OM60 laser distance sensors

The OM60 offers unrivalled precision in its class with ± 3 μm linearity deviation and 0.12 μm repeat accuracy in a measurement range of 20 mm to 30 mm. Thanks to a very fine line beam shape, reliable measurement performance even on challenging surfaces can be achieved. With this, it is especially suitable for applications requiring very precise positioning or tight tolerances in quality inspection.

With IO-Link and Modbus RTU the OM60 can be parametrized easily and intuitively using the Baumer Sensor Suite. Additional data for condition monitoring is available.

Thanks to our innovative design, the sensors stand out with best-in-class precision, very high temperature stability (down to <0.1 μm / K Sde) and high overall mechanical robustness. In addition, this level of precision is achieved in a compact form factor.

A well-focused beam combined with high-quality receiver optics enhances precision and object-independent measurement performance. This, in combination with the well-proven line beam shape, ensures high precision even on challenging objects with , e.g., shiny metallic or structured wood surfaces.

The arrangement and design of the mounting points enable straightforward and repeatable mounting. That, combined with either an IO-Link interface which complies with the Smart Sensor Profile, or Modbus RTU, makes the integration process easy and fast.
