Thanks to an extra fine line beam, the OM laser distance sensors measure highly reliably and repeatably. Thus, stable and precise measurement results can be achieved even on demanding surfaces. This is necessary, for example, to inspect battery cases for electric vehicles.

Detecting the angle at which light from a tightly focused laser beam is reflected from an object allows for very precise and reliable distance measurement. The achievable precision level is down to the micrometer range. As this technology is very mature, it enables the development of distance measurement sensors with a unique price-performance ratio.
