The day runs along the time zone and usually ends with America. We provide support for questions relating to the local individual financial statements and their reporting to Corporate Finance / Group Controlling, which prepares the consolidated financial statements in accordance with Swiss GAAP FER.

In addition to the consolidated financial statements, we take care of projects such as the further development of the management information system Reporting@Baumer, setup of new companies, settlements, internal control system, taxes and much more.

What qualities do you need to have to be successful in this profession?

Flair for numbers and data, curiosity, courage and humor (and accuracy, of course). In addition, an affinity for IT systems and sociability are important.

What interfaces do you deal with?

With financial and cost managers around the globe, internal contacts in corporate sales or IT, external parties such as consulting firms, auditors or tax authorities.

How would you describe Baumer's culture?

A lot of freedom and efficiency within the department; very dynamic with an open and direct communication culture and an innovative attitude towards new things. Pragmatic – I like that.

• After 10 years in this position, I moved to Group Finance: Development and expansion of consolidation systems and reporting
• Change to Group Controlling at Baumer due to the interesting industry and internationality: Today, the support of the companies, structuring of processes, processing of tax issues and the periodic financial statements are part of my daily business
