Extremely fast and precise media detection and differentiation with the PAC50 conductivity sensor. The sensor has the fastest response time in its class (15 sec) and very high accuracy. The PAC50 conductivity sensors are characterized by a very compact sensor design, which was developed on the basis of many years of customer and market experience. The food-safe one-piece hygienic design, wetted parts made of PEEK and certification in accordance with all current food standards make it the ideal sensor for use in hygienic and, of course, industrial applications.
The sensors of the new 50 series make your process automation more efficient and sustainable. Baumer 50 series is:

Every sensor provides best-in-class performance for the measured variables of pressure, temperature and conductivity. All sensors of the 50 series integrate the same sensor head and offer the unique operating concept via touchscreen. This way operation is the same for every sensor of the 50 series. This considerably would ease configuration, integration and handling.

The 50 series features an intuitive touch display without fuzzy knobs and buttons that also are a risk in terms of impermeability. Entire sensor calibration and parameterization can be done on the display. Each measuring technology (pressure, temperature and conductivity) utilizes the same operating concept to ensure uniform and convenient sensor operation within the entire 50 series.
Status visualization is by the display's color backlight for quick and easy reading. Display readout is easy even from different angles and from a distance.
Sensors for measuring conductivity are an important component in the process industry. By analyzing the conductivity of a medium - i.e. how well it conducts electricity - entire processes can be analyzed and controlled. Conductivity is caused by positively charged ions (cations) and negatively charged ions (anions) moving in an electric field. The conductivity depends on the ion concentration and the media temperature.
Sensors for conductivity measurement are divided into sensors with conductive and sensors with inductive technology.
