Photoelectric miniature sensors – O200

The O200 sensors with innovative ambient light algorithm ensure maximum detection reliability in any lighting situation. The interfering sources identified by the algorithm are suppressed and a consistently high measurement speed is ensured.

Glass or PET bottles, ampoules, foils or trays – O200 miniature sensors offer three solutions for long-term stable detection of transparent objects.

• O200 retro-reflective photoelectric sensors with single lens optics and LED or laser light source compensate for soiling of the reflector and allow ranges of up to 4 meters. They have an additional mode for the detection of tears in transparent films
• Background suppression with V-optics for close range (up to 15 mm) ensures luminous efficacy thanks to V-shaped, extremely narrow LED light beam
• SmartReflect® - the light barrier without reflector simplifies design-in even in the tightest spaces and detects transparent objects up to 180 mm range

• Smart Sensor Profile with fastest data transfer rate (COM3)
• Extended setting options: 1-point/window teach, high-speed/high power mode as well as Auto-teach and slide mode for transparent objects 
• Additional analysis data like signal quality and device temperature
• In fast applications, IO-Link Dual Channel enables an actuator to be directly controlled via a second independent binary output without additional latency through the controller. Parallel IO-Link communication can take place via the first output.

O200 sensors are protected against the influence of ambient light such as camera or LED lighting as well as interfering reflections from objects or machine components. Variants with a fine line beam provide a stable switching signal for irregular objects such as circuit boards.

The lightweight, compact O200 sensors are ideal for positioning tasks in grippers. Variants with laser light beam enable high-precision positioning tasks.

O200 sensors with V-optics allow the reliable detection of small shiny or transparent objects with ultimate accuracy.

Whether with or without reflector, O200 sensors offer unique reliability in detecting transparent objects such as bottles, foils, ampoules or pipettes.

Extended functional reserve capacities ensure reliable detection of extremely dark and high-gloss objects without any loss of sensing range.

Thanks to their compact design and extended range of 180 mm, O200 sensors with background suppression are ideally suited for the fine positioning of transport robots and offer stable detection of different goods or workpieces on transport robot systems.

The O200 3D-CAD models with integrated beam path enables faster design-in and thus considerably simplifies design work. When the light beam is no longer needed, it can simply be hidden.

qTeach®, the comfortable and wear-free teach-in procedure by Baumer, allows flexible and accurate adjustment of the sensors. The shortened 1-step teach-in procedure is available for simple applications.

Sensors with qTarget allow a fast and easy installation without fine-tuning as well as a fast exchange. The Baumer design aligns the sensor’s light beam to the fixing holes. This will not only compensate tolerances between individual components but ensures consistent alignment accuracy within the complete sensor series.
