Tested long-term sealing
The selected altAttribute does not exist!

The incremental POG 83 resists adverse conditions on deck because its design and materials guarantee it remains sealed throughout its entire life cycle. It passes IP tests not only when new or following DNV-GL tests, but even after additional stress tests that simulate the aging effects on sea. Below you can find the test series in detail.

Your benefits
  • High resistance to sea conditions
    • No corrosion with salt spray or salt surface drying due to the high-quality stainless steel housing
    • Tight during temporary water overflow or high-pressure cleaning thanks to a tightness concept and optimized mechanical connections
    • Resistant to shocks and vibrations caused by waves or docking maneuvers due to its robust housing and high-quality ball bearings
  • Maximum machine availability
    • Long-term sealed design prevents the entry of water and humidity
    • Longer service life proven by upstream stress tests and only subsequent IP tests
    • Minimized service costs, as service is required less frequently
  • Superior verification through intensive tests
    • Expanded test series beyond DNV-GL
    • Additional stress tests with shocks, vibrations, salt spray, and drying
    • IP tests only after previous stress tests
  • Simplified ship and system approval
    • Version with DNV-GL approval
    • Tested in accordance with the standard IP 66
    • Also passes conditions of IP 67 and IP 69K

Applications

Test series in detail
  1. Protection class when new before the DNV-GL test
    • IP 66 with dust/air stream, 8 h + strong water jet, 1 min/m² for 3 min; water quantity 100 l/min; pressure: 100 kPa at a distance of 3 m
  2. DNV-GL test
    • 4 cycles (28 days)
      •       – Salt spray, 35 °C ± 2 K, 2 h
      •       – Humid atmosphere, 40 °C ± 2 K, 93% relative humidity, 6 days and 22 h
  3. Stress test “beyond the standard“ with typical conditions on deck
    • 2 cycles (14 days)
      •       – 4 cycles (4 days)
        •             – Salt spray, 35 °C ± 2 K, 2 h
        •             – Humid atmosphere, 40 °C ± 2 K, 93% relative humidity, 22 h
      •       – Standard climate, 23 °C ± 2 K 50% relative humidity, 3 days
  4. Protection class only after stress test
    • IP 6x: dust/air stream, 8 h
    • IP x6: Strong water jet, 1 min/m² for 3 min; water quantity 100 l/min; pressure: 100 kPa at a distance of 3 m
    • IPx7: Immersion in water, up to 1 m depth, 30 min
    • IP 69K: Powerful, high temperature water jets: 30 sec. in each of 4 angles; water quantity 14-16 l/min; pressure 8-10 MPa at a distance of 0.10-0.15 m; water temperature 80 °C
  5. Ready for the roughest conditions on deck
