Since 1967, the "Swiss Youth Research Foundation” has been supporting committed and creative young talents with particular skills in science, creativity and problem-solving. In 2016, Manuel Böbel completed his apprenticeship as an electronics technician at Baumer with distinction. In the Swiss competition this spring, again he proved his skills in a remarkable performance which was awarded the grade "outstanding" and qualified him for the Expo Sciences International” to be held in Fortaleza (Brazil).
A little spark to create music - that was the original idea of the interdisciplinary project of Manuel Böbel and his team colleague, Marcel Schneider. "Our goal was building a loudspeaker in a completely new way which is totally different from conventional technology. Our loudspeaker is not supposed to produce sound waves using a diaphragm but a spark - a plasma”, explain the two electronics engineers. Baumer congratulates Manuel on the outstanding performance and is mighty proud. We are happy of being in a position to offer young talents high-level education and to foster and support them in their personal development and professional career.
