The PFM43 is a cost-effective solution for large pipe diameters from DN80 to DN2000. Its extremely robust design for water pressures up to 100 bar makes it the first choice for use in pumping stations.

Sensor expert Baumer makes flow monitoring in industrial water applications easier with the electromagnetic immersion flow meter PFM43. The sensor has been specially developed for high-pressure applications up to 100 bar and pipe diameters up to DN2000. Compared to the heavy and expensive magmeters with a continuous measuring tube - especially for large pipe diameters - the electromagnetic Baumer PFM43 immersion flow meter offers significant advantages. The simple and quick installation of the sensor, even in existing pipes, leads to considerable time and cost savings. With its high measuring accuracy of <2 %, it ensures efficient operation of systems.

Baumer PFM43: cost-effective solution for large pipe diameters

The PFM43 is a cost-effective solution for large pipe diameters from DN80 to DN2000. Its extremely robust design for water pressures of up to 100 bar makes it the first choice for use in pumping stations: Due to the differences in height, extremely high water pressures occur in the pipes. In order to measure the volume flow and flow velocity in these pipes, magnetic-inductive flow meters with a continuous measuring tube had to be used until now. This meant: high costs for the purchase plus expensive, time-consuming installation with heavy equipment.

With the easy-to-install Baumer PFM43 immersion flow meter, it is now possible to measure volume flow, flow velocity and temperature at water pressures of up to 100 bar in the simplest way. One-man installation of the PFM43, which weighs a maximum of 5 kilograms, is possible even with large diameters. Users benefit from time and cost savings during installation and maintenance and save high storage costs. To simplify commissioning, the PFM43 can be easily parameterized via USB connection and the Baumer Control Panel (BCP).

With the PFM43, Baumer proves that the company offers better solutions for maximum customer benefit also in the field of industrial water applications. The compact PFM43 flow sensor impresses with a similar performance to a large and expensive magmeter. At the same time, it is cost-effective and easy to integrate. The PFM43 thus adds another user-friendly solution to the Baumer portfolio for industrial water applications.
