What are your responsibilities in your position?

The complexity of our products requires high data quality to ensure production and sales processes. The task of my team here is to ensure this comprehensive data quality assurance in an x-functional coordination and the implementation of new projects in data management.

What qualities should someone have to be successful in data management?

An affinity for data and analytics, as well as a willingness to capture, integrate and implement the needs of all business units. Ensuring compliance with processes and concepts as well as openness to lead training courses are further prerequisites for fulfillment in this area.

Where will your journey take you as a team at Baumer in the future?

Master data quality is becoming more and more important in the digital world. Therefore, in the future, we will be primarily concerned with the harmonization of processes, data flow and automation. Our overarching goal is to expand interfaces between the individual operating systems and reduce manual data maintenance.

• Building up the Master Data Management team in the last 2 years. Today, we are a well-functioning and well-coordinated team that offers professional support to the departments
• We have achieved good improvements in communication with the individual Baumer locations in the area of master data management – especially in the management of configurators
• Redefined and implemented concepts and processes to ensure harmonized cross-business unit processes

With her MDM team, Sandra is responsible for ensuring data quality and advancing data management projects.

Ongoing projects are discussed in the Master Data Management department in weekly coordination rounds.

In a brainstorming session, data management aspects are collected. Finally, it is to be determined how the corresponding processes can be defined in the best possible way.
