Reading code and text has never been easier

The IDC series consists of camera-based multicode readers. It can be used to read all common industrial fonts as well as 1D and 2D codes including printed, pinned and lasered DPM (Direct Part Marking) codes on a wide variety of materials. It offers possibilities for the identification, quality assurance and tracing of products within manufacturing processes and across the entire supply chain. The compact code readers can be up and running very quickly: establish connection via USB-C cable, enter the IP address in the web interface and press auto setup. Code and text reading is this easy!

Whether it’s about identifying a component during assembly and packaging or about quality assurance by verifying whether the right product is in the right package – the IDC series offers the right solution thanks to its high reading rate.

Verification of correct production parts in assembly processes

In assembly processes, parts are identified by means of the code values and texts. This ensures that the processes are carried out correctly and that the traceability of the installed components can be guaranteed at the same time.

Process control and track-and-trace

Codes and batch numbers in production processes are often used for quality control or traceability (track-and-trace). On printed circuit boards, they are usually very small and applied directly, e.g. using a laser marking process. The IDC series reads codes with a module size of up to 0.03 mm (1D) or 0.07 mm (2D) quickly and reliably.

Identification in intralogistics

The compact IDC can also be integrated where installation space is limited, as is often the case in applications on AGVs or AMRs, for example. This makes it easy to ensure that the right container is unloaded at the right place. Here, too, the data from the codes can be used for quality control.
